League Business and Reminders

 

  • As always the season seems to go too fast.  I had a blast yet again (despite my team sucking so bad) and I hope everyone else has as well.  While we do play for some prizes I think having fun with friends is the most important thing.
  • Congrats to Gormley on his first championship!  Also congrats to Russ and his Cripples who score 2nd place in only his 2nd year beating out the Pole for best start to a replacement franchise.  Can Joe do it next year?
  • Shetland Ponies have a dynasty on their hands by winning their 2nd straight Toilet Bowl and also snagging moola for the highest point total.  This is why I like awarding prizes for total points.
  • Final financials will be posted later today in the forum.  All money owed is due by the Superbowl.  Checks will be sent out after all money is paid.
  • We usually get together for at least one NFL playoff gameday before the Superbowl.  I’m up for pretty much any weekend, maybe more then one.  I gotta drink my unemployment check away.  We’ll coordinate something in email.
  • Any player on your IR must be off IR by Jan 1st at 6pm or else the IR player will be dropped.  There is no cost to drop a rostered player and bring a guy off IR after the season is over.

 

Championship Week Results

  • Enforcers (160.10) defeat Cripples (103.45) – FRISKE BOWL  Cripples blew their wad last week and came up lame against the Enforcers who have been the best team in the league all season.  Rare it seems does the best team win it all but this year it happened.  Congrats again to both teams.
  • Army (132.40) defeat Geese (121.75) –  Choker Bowl (3rd Place)  Actually a pretty close game but the Army pull it out…at the end and send the Geese to a 4th place finish.  Neither team could have beat the Enforcers so nothing to cry about for either one.
  • Ponies (178.15) defeat Step (133.40) – TOILET BOWL (1st Pick)  Ponies once again snag high score of the week and this time Step was their victim.  Can the Ponies finally win more games next year?
  • Cocks (147.20) defeat Zone (99.00) –  Tidy Bowl (3rd Pick)  Bottom two teams in the league squared off for the #3 pick and the Zone decide to be bitch of the week at the wrong time.  Cocks finish strong hoping for a better year next year.

Gormley proves he knows the most about NFL matchups by guessing the most correct NFL games all season.

Gormley also wins the 2nd survivor pool.  Seems to be a theme with Gormley winning stuff this year!
