| After a 1-5 beating in Week 6, the Commish was vacationing last weekend in order to avoid his Short Term Investment Broker..... Week 8 Sunday Lines Playground Legends (-13.0) at Hurricanes Armed N Dangerous at Runs N Throses (-6.3) Fudgie Whales at UO Grandmasters (-3.0) Bubba Army at Bay Area Thrashers (-13.1) X-Factor (-9.0) at The Crew Warriors (-4.3) at Money Inc. (Game point spread is in parentheses) Playground Legends (-13.0) at Hurricanes In a battle to see who can stay at the bottom of their own divisions, Playground has the edge...with an all play record 23 games better than Hurricanes...he still has the same # of wins though.....I like the weak defenses Playground gets to hold off the Hurricanes who have yet to crack 91 points in any game this season. Pick: Playground Legends -13 Armed N Dangerous at Runs N Throses (-6.3) Oh how the mighty have fallen....on a losing slide, Throsers needs this game to stay in the running with X-Factor going into another divisional match-up next week. Shawn has the edge in Avg scoring...but a closer look shows other than 2 monster Team of the Week efforts, they are only averaging 88 points in the other contests....Dumping AND's top two scores results in an average over 90 points per game - and that is including the 62 point embarrassment on T&A night in Week 5......Add to this RB's facing the Rams and Panthers defenses, and a QB and WR on a mission to show up the Old Man in the #4 jersey....... Pick: Armed N Dangerous +6.3 Fudgie Whales at UO Grandmasters (-3.0) The Whales are currently an unstoppable force riding a three game winning streak...The defending champs have been on a rollercoaster ride this year with High Scores followed up by disappointing losses.....Head-to-Head UO is 2-5 against the Whales this year...and I don't see that changing this week. Pick:Fugie Whales +3 Bubba Army at Bay Area Thrashers (-13.1) Despite a league high 114 points a game given up the Army defensive unit, they are still over .500 due to their third highest league scoring average....this week will be a challenge unless the Raiders and Browns decide to learn how to play professional football again....I'm benching Walter and Schaub in full belief that Gerard will be successful against his rivals and Harvin will be utilized by the Old Man in the Purple Helmet in getting his revenge.... Pick:Bubba Army +13.1 X-Factor (-9.0) at The Crew A team looking for their first ever successful season vs a legendary coach who is suffering through a rebuilding year.....Where is that podcast ? Pick:X-Factor -9 Warriors (-4.3) at Money Inc. Money Inc. was hot early...but with the 'new' Steve Smith slowing down the past couple weeks and Peyton working through a bye, they have slowed down a gear...meanwhile the Warriors in a fight for their lives in their own division chasing down his brother FINALLY clicked in week 7 after a the last huge trade of the year......but this week he loses his best WR and best RB...the 'old' Steve Smith has litle to play for, while the new Steve Smith faces their ultimate rivals in the Eagles....Brees comes back after a having to go to the tank for Sunday night heroics while Peyton returns from a solid two weeks of rest..... Pick:Money Inc. +4.3 Week 6: 1-5 Overall: 15-15 -- Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. |
