Armed N Dangerous announces a special guest for the first Tits and Ammo night of the year! We proudly proclaim that Tamara Witmer will be attending the game at Browning Stadium this week. When asked about her appearance she had this to say: Well its always been a dream of mine to attend a game at Browning Stadium. I rank it up there with my Playboy photo shoot and my few years on Deal or No Deal. I mean previous years, I couldnt really attend. Jessica was always there with her boy Romo, but since hes moved on to the Thrashers and to someone else, I can come and enjoy the best damn football experience! I mean, I get to go topless, and they give me ammo? Also, I hear they are playing a High School team or something. She has been non-committal on the organized functions for Saturday. Michael Miller, President of Football Operations invites all TBFL owners to attend the charity function on Saturday. We are going snipe hunting. No ammo needed, we will catch the little buggers with our hands! Ms. Witmer has been invited, but is currently thinking it over, as she heard that Runs N Throses owner Shawn may be in attendance if she were to be in attendance. Rumor has it the Commish will be starting a Shabu bender in his hotel suite on Friday Night and hopes to keep it running through the entire Tits & Ammo Weekend and into the Owner's Suite at Browning Stadium. |

The 2009 TBFL Draft is in the books ! Even with a minor foul up due to a last minute trade, the entire draft was completed in 2 hours 20 minutes - a new record for the TBFL....Congrats to everyone ! The draft report is now corrected to show Warrior's picks in the right places, it does not show they were keepers....but it won't matter for next year. Remember RULE 3(h) - 'The Winslow Rule' and set a starting roster. If you have not done so the Commish will assign one based on the order of players taken in your draft....of course you can always change the lineup before kick off. Also until the clearing time of this week you have unlimited drop/adds - just in case you realized after drafting that your entire team is off Week 7..... Hard to pick a Game of the Week for this week, but we will go with last year's Fantasy Bowl rematch between Hurricanes and UO Grandmasters. For those wagering on the outcome of TBFL games...I have not OFFICIALLY been notified by ANY teams that there ANY Bitch Tags on the line for Week 1.... Also, every year it comes down to just Shawn and I playing, so maybe if we all start Week 1 - we will all play to the end.....Please click on the 'CONTESTS' tabs and enter a pick for the Survivor Pool and this week's NFL Pool contests. |

2009 TBFL DRAFT - Sunday, September 6 Just a reminder of next Sunday's draft which is scheduled to start at Noon EST. Try to be logged in a little ahead of the start time. The complete 2009 Franchise Player list can be found here. Please review the Live Draft section of the site if you are unfamiliar with it. I think every owner is now aware that it does not provide any rankings of players for you - that is your own responsibility (Gasper...). One last reminder that the new scoring for Defenses - providing 2 points for all turnovers, and creating a negative point scale for too many points allowed from 30 to a cap at 45 allowed - will go into effect for the 2010 TBFL Season. Just keep it in mind if you intend to draft a defense for franchise potential. |

But the rest of you still have till 9pm EST on Sunday August 30, 2009 to make any changes you like to your list....see the better strategy there is to submit a list....then submit any changes at the last minute....so you don't miss the deadline and get nothing....just saying.... |

Glad to see so much activity this early in the pre-season - can only believe that is a good sign for the coming season.... As you have probably noticed, I'm working on updating the site appearance and navigation....but I've forgotten alot of the CSS I learned when I first put together the current look - so bear with me while I try to piece it back together. RULEBOOK CHANGES I started scouring through last year's message board posts about suggested rulebook changes and realized we never gave a final say on some issues: 1. Trade Deadline - With the new rules for trading future year draft picks in place, the importance of moving up the trading deadline was discussed. Ultimately to be more in line with NFL rules we are going with Week 7 being the trading deadline. It is at the just over mid-point of the season as opposed to the old Week 10 deadline. This means the rule that does not allow any released players drafted in the first three rounds to be picked back up by any team will change as well and I will have to monitor that a few weeks longer... 2. A 'Losers Playoff' - It was suggested we have a seperate playoff for the bottom six teams, and everyone seemed to think it was a good idea, but we never agreed on what the official prize for being 'Best of the Rest' should be. I am in favor of instituting this change with the reward being that team getting their choice of draft position. This way they can draft the next year from where they see the best opportunity and the worst team in the regular season (if it is not them) will still draft no worse than the #2 slot... 3. Contextual Changes - Questions were presented last year about some verbiage that related to back before everything was automated on the MyFantasyLeague site. I am re-writing those sections to more accurately reflect the current technology... 4. Warriors made a suggestion that really drew no discussion at all about making changes to Defensive Scoring, specifically stating: up the points already and allow for negative points too! Since there was no other real discussion of it, I have no plans to change it. I'll give you guys this week to discuss it before I finalize anything....
